In a landmark development for Ghana's internal audit profession, the Internal Audit Agency (IAA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Ghana have jointly introduced the new global internal audit standards. Ralph Poku-Adusei,  Member of Parliament for Bekwai Constituency, has asserted that the minority is very prepared to hold the current government to account as they take over the affairs of the Nation. Addressing the media after the swearing-in ceremony, Hon. Poku-Adusei stated that the Minority would hold the government to account, despite the NDC's strong majority in Parliament. He emphasized the importance of a strong and united Minority caucus in ensuring that the government is transparent and accountable to the people.
