NEIP LAUNCHES PRESIDENTIAL PICTCH SESSION 5

 

The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) in Partnership with the Ministry Finance has officially launched 2024 Presidential Pitch Session five (5) competition , with the theme " Youth Entrepreneurship;Power and Responsibilities".


Deputy CEO NEIP Ms Abigail Swad Laryea said this year's competition comes with five sectors, which is; Agriculture, Manufacturing and Processing, Fin tech and Technology,TVET, and Tourism and Creative Arts. And any additional business ideas to accommodate.


According to Ms Abigail Swad, eligibility criteria remains same, applicant's to be Ghanaians citizens with creative, innovative, and feasible business ideas that demonstrate scalability and impact.

The competition aims to empower and boosts young entrepreneurs to turn their business ideas into a successful businesses, and creating jobs. The website for applications has been launched, and interested entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply.


After an evaluation process, top 30 finalists will be narrow down to top 10, who will then present their business idea to the President at the Movepick Ambassador Hotel, said Ms Abigail. The overall winner will go home with grand price of 300,000 cedis she added.

Nkonya Secondary School Launches 60th Anniversary, Urges Government to Invest in School Facilities

Nkonya Secondary School (Nkosec) has officially launched its 60th anniversary celebration with a strong call to the government to invest in the improvement of the school’s facilities. The anniversary, themed "Fulfilling the Aspirations of the Founding Fathers," pays tribute to the founders who have played a vital role in the school's development through their dedication and provision of resources. The Rotaract Club of Accra-Labone marked Global Handwashing Day by visiting Flagstaff House Basic School and donating vital hygiene supplies to highlight the importance of handwashing and sanitation The club donated items such as handwashing soap, tissues, and 4 CD Wash Stations to enhance the school's hygiene practices and promote regular handwashing, a simple but crucial step in preventing illness. Rotaractor Ethel Odoi, a general nurse, taught the process of washing the hands.
