Emerging Leaders Must Build Strong Institutions and Develop Human Capital – Dr. Lawrence Tetteh

The Reverend Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, founder and president of the World Miracle Outreach, has called on future leaders to prioritize building strong institutions and developing human capital as essential steps toward achieving sustainable economic progress in Ghana.

Speaking at the 2024 National Emerging Leaders Economic Forum organized by VODEC Africa, Dr. Tetteh emphasized that visionary leadership is key to national advancement. He urged emerging leaders to focus on long-term political gains rather than short-term successes, as this is vital to transforming the nation.

“We have a collective responsibility,” Dr. Tetteh said. “The youth of the nation must rise up and take on their responsibilities.”

The forum, held under the theme *"Leading for Sustainable Economic Growth in a Multipolar World: The Role of Emerging Leaders in Election 2024 in Ghana,"* served as a platform to discuss the pivotal role young leaders will play in shaping the country’s future, particularly in the upcoming elections.

Mr. Daniel Asomani, the Executive Director and Founder of VODEC Africa, echoed Dr. Tetteh’s sentiments, stating that youth involvement in decision-making processes is crucial for achieving good governance in Ghana. “We believe that when the youth are involved in decision-making, it fosters what we call good governance,” Asomani said.

The event is expected to draw more than 2,000 participants both in person and via virtual platforms. Attendees will include leaders from various sectors, including academia, industry, governance, and business, all contributing to discussions on leadership and sustainable development in Ghana.
