Dr. Agnes Ayisha Declares 2028 Presidential Ambition

Dr. Agnes Ayisha, a distinguished Ghanaian leader and advocate for youth empowerment, has officially announced her candidacy for the 2028 General Election as an Independent Presidential Candidate. The declaration was made during the Abiriw Ohum festival in Ghana's Eastern Region.


In her announcement, Dr. Ayisha emphasized her commitment to uniting the youth from the country’s two major political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to foster a more unified and prosperous nation. This vision is a natural extension of her leadership role in the Liberation of National Youth for Change (LNYC), an organization focused on youth empowerment and national development.


Dr. Ayisha’s decision to run as an independent is not her first attempt at pursuing the presidency. In the 2024 elections, she made headlines with her ambition but faced obstacles with her nomination process. Undeterred by these challenges, she has reaffirmed her dedication to transforming Ghana’s political landscape and inspiring change through inclusive governance.


Running as an independent candidate presents distinct challenges, particularly in a political environment dominated by established parties. However, Dr. Ayisha’s leadership qualities, extensive experience, and unwavering passion for change position her as a compelling contender.


As the 2028 elections approach, many Ghanaians will be keenly observing Dr. Ayisha’s campaign, particularly her strategies for uniting the youth and driving national progress. Her bid represents a growing desire for new voices and ideas in Ghanaian politics, with the potential to reshape the nation’s future.

The Rotaract Club of Accra-Labone marked Global Handwashing Day by visiting Flagstaff House Basic School and donating vital hygiene supplies to highlight the importance of handwashing and sanitation The club donated items such as handwashing soap, tissues, and 4 CD Wash Stations to enhance the school's hygiene practices and promote regular handwashing, a simple but crucial step in preventing illness. Rotaractor Ethel Odoi, a general nurse, taught the process of washing the hands.
