The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has announced that the official declaration of the presidential election results will take place today at 4:30 PM. This update was shared during a press briefing held at the National Collation Centre.

Strict Entry Guidelines for the Collation Centre

The EC emphasized that only individuals with official accreditation will be permitted to enter the National Collation Centre for the announcement. The Commission strongly advised the public to avoid gathering at the premises and instead watch the live broadcast from their homes.

“We are only entertaining people who have accreditation to the National Collation Centre. If you don’t have accreditation, please don’t come,” an EC representative stated. “There is no need for supporters of political parties to besiege the centre. This is illegal and unwarranted.”

Call for Public Cooperation

To ensure a smooth and orderly process, the EC has urged the general public to adhere to these guidelines. Citizens are encouraged to tune in to the live broadcast at 4:30 PM to hear the official declaration of the results.

This directive aims to prevent disruptions at the National Collation Centre and maintain a peaceful atmosphere as the election process concludes.
