MAURYA EDUCATION LIMITED HOLDS ITS 13th NATIONAL UCMAS COMPETITION

 

The Maurya Education Limited has held its 13th Universal concept of mental arithmetic system (UCMAS) at Kasoa Pentecost Conventional Center.

 UCMAS is a professional organization who aims to develop the intellect of children. 

The three (3) days event brought together over 3000 Students from 250 schools to compete for top honors.

Mr. Girish Gurbani, Director for Maurya Education Limited, said the UCMAS has truly been of help to children who participated over the years, propelling them to excel through basic and tertiary level of education.

Mr. Gurbani also said, it has developed the brains of the children during their formative years which is from the ages of five (5) to fourteen (14) years.

"It is our aim to eradicate  the fear of mathematics from Ghanaian children; boosts their confidence, enhance their listening skills, and improve their creativity," he added.

The area manager of UCMAS, Tema Community 25, Mr Maxwell Aidoo said, the children were made to answer 200  arithmetic questions within eight minutes which was to test their brain confidence, listening and comprehension skills as well as photographic memories within the period of their training.

Mr Aidoo entreated all parents to enroll their wards in the UCMAS class and monitor them while practicing.

Nkonya Secondary School Launches 60th Anniversary, Urges Government to Invest in School Facilities

Nkonya Secondary School (Nkosec) has officially launched its 60th anniversary celebration with a strong call to the government to invest in the improvement of the school’s facilities. The Rotaract Club of Accra-Labone marked Global Handwashing Day by visiting Flagstaff House Basic School and donating vital hygiene supplies to highlight the importance of handwashing and sanitation The club donated items such as handwashing soap, tissues, and 4 CD Wash Stations to enhance the school's hygiene practices and promote regular handwashing, a simple but crucial step in preventing illness.
